Welcome to the mud.

Join me as I dig into the garden, tackle DIY projects, and whip up fresh dough in the kitchen—with plenty of muddy detours along the trail. I’m here to share every messy trial, hilarious tribulation, and occasional ‘nailed it’ success along the way!”

Where the dirt began

Back in 2022, fresh out of lockdown and in the throes of a full-blown hormonal crisis, I started indoor gardening (hydroponics) hoping for some goddamn harmony. It was a chaotic attempt to find calm.

The stillness didn’t last long. I soon escaped outdoors, determined to carve out a garden space I could actually sit in—not just look at. Later that year, a “grow your own veg” box arrived, and my interest in growing fruit, veg, and flowers took ruthless hold. The dirt called, and I answered.

In 2023, seduced by perfect Instagram bakes, I decided to tackle the ultimate challenge: a sourdough starter. It was a bumpy, dormant road that required serious perseverance. What began as a very sad jar of flour and water slowly grew into the bubbling, active beast it is today. My first small loaf wasn’t perfect—it was edible, just barely—but the adventure into baking the world better (or at least making some decent toast) had begun.

From digging in the soil to DIY disasters and delicious dough, come join me. I’ll share the real-life tips, tricks, trials, and occasional “nailed it” moments I’ve learned along the way.
Have a good day
